It is understood that both the Reddit site and app are having a tough time linking up with their backend servers. Despite the hiccups affecting thousands, Reddit's own status page is optimistically claiming all systems are go. 

On X, the anger is palpable. One individual posted, "What happened to Reddit? It's been down for hours." Another aired their frustration saying, "Reddit is down. Shows you the extent of my life if I notice it's down at 4am." 

Yet, a silver lining exists for those desperate to get their Reddit fix: there's a sneaky bypass. Visit "old Reddit," the platform's original version, by typing in old.reddit.com into your browser's URL field. For those who fancy a bit of nostalgia, toggle your Reddit settings to always open the classic layout. 

Reddit faced another outage back in August, leaving over 150,000 US users grappling with glitches on the platform. The app was mostly unresponsive, and even the website took a hit. In the UK, the peak of the problem saw about 30,000 reports of issues.
