Ola Electric has launched the S1 Z and S1 Z+ electric scooters in India. The scooters are priced at Rs. 59,999 (ex-showroom), and Rs. 64,999 (ex-showroom), respectively. Customers can book the scooters at Rs. 499.
The S1 Z and S1 Z+ come with removable battery packs that can be charged at your home, office, or any other place with access to a three-pin charging socket. Both scooters feature a futuristic design with sleek panels and minimal bodywork.
Both scooters pack a 1.5 kWh battery pack, which can be expanded into two packs. The IDC-certified range stands at 75km with a single battery pack, extendable to 146km with dual batteries.
Both scooters have a top speed of 70kph and are powered by a 2.9kW hub motor that propels the scooters from 0-40kph in 4.8 seconds. The features list includes an LCD instrument cluster, physical key, and Bluetooth App connectivity.
Lower EV penetration in two-wheelers, elevated competition, negative perception on product and service quality, tech obsolescence and sustained losses are the five key risks highlighted by Citi in its note.
Seven analysts now have coverage on Ola Electric, with five of them having a "buy" rating, while the other two have a "sell" recommendation on the stock.
