According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Bengaluru recorded a maximum temperature of 25.4°C and a minimum of 20.7°C, with 3.3 mm of rainfall.

On October 15, Bengaluru is expected to see heavy rain throughout the day, with temperatures reaching around 25°C. Districts such as Bengaluru Rural, Chikkaballapura, Chikkamagaluru, Kolar, and Mysuru may experience particularly heavy downpours.

The rain is expected to persist on October 16, with temperatures possibly rising slightly to 26°C. This wet weather pattern will continue to impact Bengaluru and surrounding districts like Chamarajanagar, Mandya, and Ramanagara, lasting through October 17, with a high of 27°C.

Meanwhile in Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister MK Stalin reviewed preparations following the IMD’s forecast of heavy rain caused by a developing low-pressure system over the southeast Bay of Bengal.

The Regional Meteorological Centre has forecast heavy rain in several districts from October 15 to October 17, with extremely heavy rain expected in Tiruvallur, Chennai, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, and other areas.

Schools are closed as a precaution, and IT firms have been advised to allow employees to work from home. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has been deployed for relief operations, and officials are on high alert for potential flooding.
