A 40-year-old employee of a leading Information Technology firm died after suffering a cardiac arrest in the washroom of the company located in Maharashtra's Nagpur, officials said on Sunday.
The incident occurred on Friday, when Nitin Edwin Michael, a senior analyst with HCL Technologies, went to the company's washroom and was later found unresponsive.
According to an official from Sonegaon police station, Nitin was rushed to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Nagpur, but doctors declared him brought dead.
the body was sent for postmortem and police registered a case of accidental death. Officials said that initial autopsy findings indicated the man died of cardiac arrest.
HCL Technologies expressed condolences and called the incident 'unfortunate'. It also said that the wellbeing of employees is of the utmost priority for them.
