The little island lies north of Howth Harbor and is accessible by water; Daily ferries depart from Howth Harbour. While some ferries only go around the island, others make stops to give tours of the island.
The island is most famous for its amazing biodiversity, especially its large colonies of birds, which include gulls, guillemots, razorbills, kittiwakes, cormorants, and several puffins and peregrine falcons. The island is home to Ireland’s fifth-largest gannet colony.
