Adventures Around The Arizona Airport

Walking the Airport Loop Trail on your own two feet is an ideal way to see the landscape surrounding the famous Sedona Airport. Airport Mesa, one of Sedona’s most recognizable rock formations, is surrounded by this 3.3-mile trail near the airport. This moderately strenuous ride winds through picturesque deserts with breathtaking panoramic views; In spring, it is possible to find wildflowers. Although Sedona offers many wonderful treks, this one is particularly well located and easily accessible from the airport. If your private jet is unable to land at the Sedona airport, the most convenient way to get to Sedona is to rent a car from Flagstaff Pulliam Airport (25 miles from Sedona) or Phoenix Sky Harbor (120 miles from Sedona). An extended trip to Central Arizona, which offers many activities and places to see and do, including wine tasting, indigenous cultural education, and outdoor exploration, can include a stop in Sedona. A scenic road trip from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon will also take you to Sedona.
