There are countless videos showing predators preying on vulnerable animals. Now another such video has gone viral. It shows a Komodo dragon attacking and devouring a deer.
For the uninitiated, Komodo dragons are the heaviest lizards on Earth. They reach 10 feet in length and weigh more than 300 pounds (approximately 136 kg), according to National Geographic. Komodo dragons have survived the harsh environment of Indonesia’s Lesser Sunda Islands for millions of years.
A video that has now gone viral shows a Komodo dragon hunting and swallowing a deer. The Komodo dragon first attacks the deer with its razor-sharp teeth. The deer looks helpless and cannot defend itself.
The Komodo dragon quickly overpowers the smaller creature and devours it in no time. @animals_powers shared this video on Instagram.
