Archaeologists discovered “10-foot-tall people” in a Nevada cave.

Archaeologists discovered “ten-foot-tall people” in a Nevada cave.

Giants supposedly once inhabited the Earth, according to mythology, folklore, and even the Bible. It turns out that this assertion is supported by evidence.
In the US state of Nevada, Nevada cave remarkable human remains have been discovered, some of the skeletons standing up to ten feet tall.
This has strengthened the ancient belief that the Southwest was previously inhabited by a long-extinct human race.

Cannibalistic giants with red hair known as the Si-Te-Cah arrived in the Americas from a far-off island, according to the Paiute tribe, who established in the Nevada region thousands of years ago.

According to legend, the Si-Te-Cah people traveled across the ocean on rafts constructed of reeds and gained notoriety for being taller, stronger, and more ruthless than other men.

Then, in 1911, three miners in a cave close to Lovelock, Nevada, discovered several odd artifacts while searching for bat guano, a crucial component of fertilizer.
Due to this, two formal excavations were started, one in 1912 and the other in 1924, during which thousands of artifacts were found.

The mummies, dubbed the Lovelock Giants, were between 8 and 10 feet tall and were among the astounding discoveries, according to Archeology World.

A 15-inch-long pair of worn sandals and a boulder with what looks to be a massive handprint carved on it were also discovered.

A report in the local newspaper, the Nevada Review-Miner, shortly after the second excavation in 1931 stated that two enormous bones had been found near Lovelock in a dry lake bed.
These corpses were mummified in a manner akin to that used by the Ancient Egyptians, and they measured 8.5 and 10 feet in height, respectively.

The myth of these unusual individuals appears throughout the Americas, despite the fact that none of this seems plausible.

For instance, Pedro Cieza de León, a Spanish conquistador, documented an old Peruvian legend concerning the origins of the giants in the sixteenth century.

“Some of the men were so tall that from the knee down they were as big as the length of an ordinary fair-sized man,” de León wrote in his account of the towering beings, who “came by sea in rafts of reeds [ in] the manner of large boats.”
Furthermore, skeletons with enlarged skulls have been discovered high in the Andes, between Bolivia and Peru.

The bones are larger than typical human remains and are thought to be about 3,000 years old.

Interestingly, it was discovered that several of them had red hair as well.

Some scientists believe that the reddish color of the bodies is a result of the burial environment, according to Archeology World.
Some, on the other hand, see it as evidence of the Si-Te-Cah and their kin’s existence.

And the Paiute have the explanation for how such a powerful and terrifying species could have vanished, if it had ever existed at all.

In their legend, the Si-Te-Cah terrorized and destroyed them as well as every other neighboring tribe.

Against this powerful enemy, the tribes came together after years of conflict.

The final giants to survive were eventually driven out and took refuge in Lovelock Cave.

The tribes took advantage of the situation and lit a fire at the entrance to the cave, killing and smothering the remaining Si-Te-Cah.

Remarkably, evidence of severe burning was discovered close to the cave’s entrance when the first discoveries were made there back in 1911, according to the History Channel.

When all the loose ends of the story are tied together, it’s still entertaining, even if these ten-foot giants are only the product of mythology and vivid imaginations.
