An emergency storm warning was issued early Monday morning by the National Meteorological Service, providing details about the regions that will be affected.

The stormy winds, with a force of 7 to 8 Beaufort, will affect the southeastern Aegean, the Icarian Sea, the Cavo D’Oro strait, and the central Aegean Sea today. 

Simultaneously, with the strengthening of the winds in the Aegean, the temperature will drop across the country, while drought conditions will continue. 

In Macedonia, Thessaly, the Sporades, Euboea, eastern Sterea, the eastern and southern Peloponnese, and Crete, there will be temporarily increased clouds with a few local showers that will be confined to the south by the afternoon. 

In other areas, mostly clear skies with occasional local clouds. Visibility will be limited in places in the mainland, mainly in the west, during the morning and evening hours. 

Winds will blow from eastern and gradually northern directions 3 to 5 Beaufort in the west. In the east, winds will blow from northern directions 4 to 6 Beaufort, and up to 7 and occasionally 8 Beaufort in the Aegean. 

Temperature will drop slightly across the country, reaching 16 to 20 degrees Celsius, and locally in the Ionian, western and southern mainland, southern Crete, and the Dodecanese 21 to 23 degrees Celsius.
