The Shashanka Chaturvedi directorial deals with the issue of domestic violence. Kriti Sanon plays the role of twins - Saumya and Shailee while Kajol features as Vidya Jyoti, a cop-lawyer. 

Shaheer Sheikh eassays Dhruv Sood, a rich businessman. the film opens on a shocking note and what follows next aims to leave the viewers in awe.  

However, despite a good cast, Do Patti seems to have been unable to strike a chord with the audience. According to the early reviews on X, many shared how apart from Shaheer Sheikh, no one stands out. Kriti's performance has also been trashed by netizens. 

Commenting about the film, an X user wrote, "#DoPatti is as flat as it can get. #Kajol, #KritiSanon and #ShaheerSheikh are sincere in their roles, but the fault lies with the writing and direction. The characters and the subject definitely lack depth and are so unconvincing."
