As per experts and former military officials Israel’s air defense system could be severely impacted, if Iran launches a major attack now.
The country uses a multi-layered air defense system, which includes the Iron Dome, David’s Sling, and Arrow System.
However, due to continuous attacks and excessive costs, the supply chain is struggling to maintain these systems.
It is important to note that since October 7, Hamas has fired more than 20,000 rockets and missiles.
The United States, however has pledged to send the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missile system and 100 soldiers to Israel amid this severe crisis.
